Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP Application Launcher (NAL)
Novell ZENworks 7 Server Management Support Pack 1 - ZSM7 SP Tiered Electronic Distribution (TED)
Chained MSI apps with the same working directory copies redundant files, increasing the total overall size of the distribution.

Situation

A NAL chain of multiple MSI applications is larger than the working directory that TED creates.
The space of the volume is filling up.

Resolution

This is working as designed. The "Golden Application" location should have a directory for every application, during the building of the Novell Application Launcher TED distribution.

Additional Information

Steps to duplicate:
1. Create 2 .MSI applications, both in the same directory in a Golden App location
2. Chain the applications and build the applications in a TED distribution
3. Notice the size of the 2 MSI apps in the directory.
4. Build the distribution and in the PDS\TES\Dist\ directory notice the final size of the working directory.
