Environment

Novell NetWare
Novell Open Enterprise Server (Linux based)
Novell Open Enterprise Server (NetWare based)
Novell NetWare Remote Manager

Situation

When looking at the Server Health Table on the Health Monitor Screen in Remote Manager there is some confusion on certain values shown under 'Current' and 'Peak'.
It can happen that values listed under 'Current' show up being higher than values shown under Peak, where the values under'Peak' have a '*' adjacent to it.
What does that '*' exactly mean ?

Resolution

The numbers that show up with a '*' next to it in the Peak column are to be interpreted differently than those without.
When there is no '*' to the value it is to be interpreted as a real time peak value, while when you values that are marked with the '*' it has to be interpreted as the lowest number that particular value has ever been since portal was last loaded. For these items we determined that this low value is more informative than the (real time) high value.
