Situation
Booting from Zen imaging bootcd won't image and doesn't recognize the CD drive for Intel DQ965GF Motherboard current BIOS (CO96510J.86A.5493.2006.1102.1720) Marvell controller
Resolution
Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 1 and later. The most current Interim release is ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 4, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Pressing alt-f3 shows status, the last few lines of which are:
Hardware probing finished.
There seems to be no floppy disk.

Looking for a ZENWorks CD...
OK, that didn't work; see if we can activate another storage device...
No further storage devices found; giving up.
Automatic setup not possible.
