Upgrading ZENworks Asset Management to new hardware

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Asset Management - ZAM7
Novell ZENworks 7.5 Asset Management - ZAM7.5

Situation

Error:"Server does not allow remote connections" when restoring ZAM standalone database to new server.
What are the steps to upgrade ZAM 7 to ZAM 7.5 on new hardware.
Unable to upgrade a ZAM 7 standalone database to new server hardware.
Cannot move ZAM 7 standalone database from one server to another.

Resolution

Below are the steps to upgrade or move an existing ZAM 7 standalone server to ZAM 7.5 on new hardware:
  1. Upgrade current ZAM 7 standalone server to ZAM 7.5 standalone in order to upgrade the database.
  2. Install ZAM 7.5 standalone on new server in order to create a new database.
  3. Use the Standalone Database Backup/Restore tool on the current server to backup 7.5 database. This tool can be obtained from the Novell Downloads site at https://download.novell.com/SummaryFree.jsp?buildid=TdsAIYknfto~
  4. Copy the backup database file that was created by the backup tool from current server to same path on new server.
  5. Copy FileStore folder from current server to new server.
  6. On the new server, enable the "VIA protocol" from the SQL Enterprise Manager interface.
  7. Use the restore tool to restore database on new server from the backup database file.

[SQL Native Client]VIA Provider: The specified module could not be
found.
[SQL Native Client]Login timeout expired
[SQL Native Client]An error has occurred while establishing a
connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this
failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL
Server does not allow remote connections.
