Environment

Novell Identity Manager 3.5.1

Situation

Novell Identity Manager 3.5.1 changed the behavior for objects that did not synchronize successfully.
Previous versions of Identity Manager would write an DirXML-Associations attribute on the object with the status set to "pending" when that object didn't synchronize successfully.
For performance reasons, Identity Manager 3.5.1 by default doesn't write the DirXML-Associations attribute with the status set to "pending" on any object.

Resolution

If there is the need to have Identity Manager 3.5.1 engine behave like previous versions regarding the DirXML-Associations attribute, there is an Engine Control Value (ECV) named "Write pending associations" that controls that behavior.
To change it go into the Driver's properties, click on the"Engine Control Values" link and change the entry "Write pending associations" to true. Hit "OK" to save your change and restart the driver afterwards.
