Situation

LDAP Server does not listen on the secure or non-secure port
LDAP initialization trace shows :
Error: "Could not read LDAP Server name in ValidateLDAPObjects on iteration 2, err = no such attribute (-603)" Error: "Could not validate Group in ReadConfigFromDS, err = no such attribute (-603)"
Error: "Could not update server configuration, err = no such attribute (-603)"

Resolution

1. Start Novell ConsoleOne

2. Open the NCP Server object

3. Go to the Other tab

4. With Attributes high-lighted, click on "Add..."

5. Choose "LDAP Server" from the list

6. Click on the browse icon and select the appropriate LDAP Server object

7. Click "Apply" and "Close"

Additional Information

The NCP Server object does not have an associated LDAP Server object.
