Display Names out of sync importing into GroupWise Messenger

Environment

Novell GroupWise Messenger 2.01
Novell GroupWise Messenger Client for Windows

Situation

  • GroupWise Messenger Agents set to use an LDAP Pool.
  • Importing a contact list into the Windows Client causes the Display Name field to be duplicated across multiple users that are imported, leaving the rest of the Contact information correct.
  • This does not occur when using a single LDAP server.

Resolution

This has been reported to development.

Additional Information

Work Around:The display names can be edited by hand to correct them to the proper information and then the Contacts will work fine from that point on.  Reconfiguring the Messaging Agent to only use a single LDAP server also eliminates the problem.
