How to enable ZENworks Endpoint Security Client logging for troubleshooting

Situation

You need to enable client logging for debugging or diagnostic purposes

Resolution

To Create Client Logging:
  1. Right click on the ZENworks Endpoint Security client on the Windows task tray and select about
  2. Select diagnostics
  3. Select logging
  4. Click on the Select All button. Check the Make Permanent box then click the OK button
  5. Logging will now start and be kept locally

Additional Information

Logging is kept locally on the client machine found in c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\Senforce\logs
How to send a diagnostics package to support with logging included
After creating logging and recreating the issue or problem you are having, you can send Novell support a diagnostic package.

To do this:
  1. Right click on the ZENworks Security Client in the Windows Task tray and select about
  2. Select diagnostics
  3. Click on Create Package
  4. A diagnostic package will be created and placed on the desktop (the file will have a .enc extension)
