Situation
When scheduling a volume split operation the "Percent Complete"
would go to 100% and then get stuck. The state would be shown as"Retry Name Select". Sometimes leaving the job for a long time (a
day or even longer) would allow the operation to complete
successfully.
Resolution
This has since been resolved with Novell NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 7 and later.
The previous workaround for this problem that allowed the operation to complete was doing the following:
- From within iManager select Storage, Move/Split Job Control.
- Select the server to be managed.
- Select the job in question and manually select it to finish.
- At this point you may receive a message indicating that the job can not be removed.
- Restart the server.
