Situation
608 illegal attribute in nwadmn32 when configuring Novell
BorderManager.
When clicking on the setup tab to configure BorderManager in nwadmn32, a message pops with the -608 illegal attribute. This error did not allow customer to configure BorderManager server.
BorderManager install log files did not show any issues with schema
Dsrepair showed no problems

Resolution
The ipxip gateway object, server_name-gw object is not present in
the container where the server resides. Once the object was created
manually thru nwadmn32, BorderManager could be accessed and
configured and error was gone
Additional Information
To catch this issue, a LAN trace was taken at BorderManager server
using pktscan.nlm. Trace revealed that when clicking on the setup
tab, a query searching for the server_name-gw object was sent and a
-601 was returned. After that a -608 trying to add the ipxip
attributes generated the 608 illegal attribute error.
It is unknown why this object was not created either by the installation or when launching nwadmn32 but manually creating solved the issue.
