NWFTPD.NLM shows Error 99 when intruder detection is enabled

Situation

After activating intruder detection for nwftpd.nlm in SYS:/etc/ftpserv.cfg the ftpd.log shows the following error:
"Error , 99 , 15.2.2007 09.53.36 , Ftp fatal error : MxIntruderUser Invalid Mutex Lock"
FTP server works fine.

Resolution

Re-creating the configuration file for nwftpd.nlm (SYS:/etc/ftpserv.cfg) fixed the issue.

Additional Information

The configuration was edited manually with EDIT.NLM and also using iManager. It seemed that characters were entered that could not be interpreted.
