Online dibclone fails with -723 error

Environment

Novell eDirectory 8.7.3.8 for Solaris
Novell eDirectory 8.7.3.8 for Linux

Situation

When doing online dibclone it will fail with -723 error in iMonitor
Ndsrepair stops responding and there are sometimes 150 errors

Resolution

The issue arises because the cache settings done through _ndsdb.ini are getting
reset once online dibclone starts. ie., though the _ndsdb.ini sets the cache
limit to 240 MB, once online dibclone is started, it is getting reset and the
max size of DB Cache is reset to default. ( This can be seen via Database
Cache settings page of iMonitor with refresh on)

In case of high end boxes, this Max size of DB cache may be around 2 GB. This
means that process size is allowed to grow till 2GB and it dumps core. This is
true while cloning large dibs in higher end boxes.

The workaround is that once online clone is started, again set the
cache Hard Limit via Database Cache settings in iMonitor to a static limit.
