Environment

Novell ZENworks for Servers 2.0

Situation

Changed IP Address of the Distributor Server.
Resolving Certificates fails and gets the old ip address at the subscriber even after changing the Distirbutor's IP address.
When you type in certs -s at the subscriber prompt it tells you the old IP address of the Distributor server.
How to regenerate the certificate on a Distributor if you change the IP Address.

Resolution

1. Stop TED/ZFS
2. Delete the .keystore in ZENWORKS/PDS/TED/SECURITY/PRIVATE (file name is .keystore)
3. Delete the file that ends in ".csr" in the ZENWORKS/PDS/TED/SECURITY/CSR directory
4. START ZFS and TED.
5. In ConsoleOne right click on the Distributor Object and select"Resolve Certificates" option. This option will send Security Certificates to ALL subscribers that will receive distributions from this distributor (i.e. belong to a Channel in which the Distributor has a Distribution).
Send a distribution - error should be eliminated

Additional Information

The SYS:\TED2\SECURITY\PRIVATE\KEYPAIR.OBJ file is not valid anymore.
