Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management

Device associated bundles with force launch actions run as system not as user when set to run as user.

This is fixed in version 10.0.3 - see KB 3486285 "Updates to ZENworks 10 Configuration Management" which can be found at
Workaround: Associate the bundle to the user, not the device.

Additional Information

To Reproduce:
  1. Create new directive bundle.
  2. Add two actions:
    Copy files:
    destination: %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\file

    Display Message: launching with %USERPROFILE%

Both of these are set as "Run as user"
  3. Associate to device.
  4. Set the schedule of both to distribution schedule now install after distribution checked launch after install checked.
  5. Distribute bundle.
  6. Refresh the workstation.
  7. The message is "C:\Documents and Settings\Launching LocalService" and no file gets copied to user directory. Should show user, not LocalService
