Situation

Replying to an email & changing to an appointment type results in sender's name not appearing in To: field
The customer sent me the following bug and I have confirmed it still exists with the latest 12/18/2006 build:

Steps to duplicate:

1. Open an email and click reply.
2. Change the item type to "appointment" and "Group".
3. Click OK.

Result: For less than a second, your name is displayed in the TO: field and then disappears. This only happens if you click reply first. If you change the item type using the steps above on an open message you're not replying to, your name is placed in the TO: field and does not disappear.

Expected Behavior: When you change an item type to a Group Appointment, your name should remain in the TO: field and not disappear. Although we have a workaround (choose "change item type" first prior to replying to the email), this feature should work correctly even if the user chooses to reply to the message first prior to making the item type change.

Resolution

Fixed in GroupWise 7.03
