INVALID_ATTRIBUTE modifying Link Configuration

Situation

Error: "General directory access error"
Error: "An error occurred modifying an attribute value. INVALID_ATTRIBUTE"
Error occurs when modifying POA object
Error occurs when changing link configuration
POA's MTP Port is listed as -1
Happens after an upgrade from previous versions of GroupWise

Resolution

The eDirectory schema has not been properly extended and one of the agent attributes is missing. Go into ConsoleOne schema manager and add the attribute:
  1. Open schema manager
  2. On the classes tab find GroupWise Agent and select Info
  3. Hit Add Attribute
  4. Add the NDA: Port attribute and close out.
This should now work.

Additional Information

A similar issue has been seen when migrating GroupWise 8 from NetWare to Linux.
When trying to make changes to the HTTP port on the POA's Network Address page an Invalid Attribute error can occur.

Following the steps listed resolves the issue.
