Situation
Client redirection of a user fails when connecting
through the Internet.
Error 8503 - Unable to open documents on another post office
when connecting through the Internet.
Resolution
For a proper client redirection when accessing a mailbox from
external (internet) site it is essential to configure on each post
office POA | Network Address tab"Proxy Server Address" and"Internet Proxy Client/Server" port.
IMPORTANT
! "Internet
Proxy Client/Server" port must not be set to 0. If it is
configured with a value 0, POA redirects external client
request to internal server IP address which is not reachable from
the Internet. The same redirection mechanism applies also
for accessing documents from different post
offices.
