Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES)
Novell iManager

Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES)
Novell iManager
Health Monitor plugin
openWBEM
Situation
When using
iManager to monitor the server health to monitor a NetWare server
using the "Robust health" (openWBEM) method, authentication fails
when trying to log in.
iManager: authentication failed in server health monitoring
Error message: "This user does not have the correct credentials to authenticate to the CIMOM client"
iManager: authentication failed in server health monitoring
Error message: "This user does not have the correct credentials to authenticate to the CIMOM client"
Resolution
The problem is identical to the
one encountered with iPrint authentication and so you have to use
the same fix as described inTID3110036
Additional Information
On NetWare,
openWbem does LDAP authentication using the user's uid (unique ID)
rather than cn (common name). Users not created with ConsoleOne or
iManager may not have the uniqueID attribute set and openWBEN
authentication fails with such users.
