ActiveSync Occasionally Not Distributing Applications or Policies

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Handheld Management - ZHM7

Situation

Applications or policies are queued up for a device. Occasionally, pressing the Sync button in the ActiveSync desktop menu does not distribute the applications or policies.

Resolution

Occasionally, selecting Sync on the desktop machine does not lead to a 'cradle' event. If this is the case, remove the device from the cradle and place it back to ensure a connection.

Alternatively, launch the ZENworks Handheld Management Console on the Windows CE device and press "Connect Now". If this does not work, try pressing"Stop Client" followed by "Start Client".
