Unable to blank screen with some workstations when remote controlling

Situation

Unable to blank screen during remote control session.
Blanking the screen works on other machines but not on other workstations.
Screen blanking does not function when you attempt to blank the screen of a Managed Device during a Remote Control session

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at Novell Support

This is fixed in ZDM 6.5 SP2 IR1 or later found at Novell Support.

Additional Information

Check whether an alternate technique blanks the screen. To do so:

1.Create a DWORD value called UseBlankScreenDriver in the registry of the Managed Device under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Novell\ZENworks\Remote Management\RMAgent

2.Set the value data of UseBlankScreenDriver to 1.
