Situation
Accessing eDirectory is very slow when LEngine is loaded

Resolution
Uncheck the box for "register
for events inline." This must be done for all servers where
Novell Audit is capturingeDir
events. Unload and reload Auditds and LEngine for the changes
tobecome
effective.
This setting tells eDir to not allow a new event until Audit has committed the previous event to the audit database. This check box is locatedin iManager in properties of the NCP server object, on the page where eDir auditing is configured, as shown below:
