Situation

ERROR""Exiting with Error 7". When installing ZCM agent (media release) onto an XP Embedded machine

Note: Both the "Network Install" and the "Standalone install" produce the same results.

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 4, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

Note: cacls.exe needs to exist in the System32 directory on the Embedded XP system for install to work. This file can be taken from an XP workstation.
