Cannot login to ZCC after applying Security Fix KB943485

Situation

After applying MS security fix "MS08-002: Vulnerability in LSASS could allow local elevation of privilege" KB 943485, you cannot login to ZCC, the login page just hangs.

Resolution

The exact cause is unknown, but the workaround is to remove the patch via "add or remove programs". Remember to check the box "show updates" to be able to view the patches. The patch can then be reinstalled, and the problem does not reoccur.
