Securing the NDPS Broker object with a password

Environment

Novell Distributed Print Services (NDPS) Broker
Novell iPrint for NetWare Broker

Situation

Need to increase security of the NDPS Broker object by assigning a password.
User is able to login as the NDPS Broker object.

Resolution

1. On the NetWare server console switch to the NDPS Broker screen
2. Press the F4 key to change the Broker password
3. Press Enter to accept the warning
4. Enter a password for the Broker
5. Enter the same password a second time
6. Accept Yes to unload the Broker
6. Reload the Broker with broker name and password at the console prompt
eg: BROKER MyBroker.MyOrgUnit.MyOrg /p=password
BROKER CN=MyBroker.OrgUnit=MyOU.O=MyOrg /p=password
7. Add the password switch and the password (/p=password) to the Broker load line in the Autoexec.ncf file
