Novell ZENworks Desktop Management 7 - ZDM7 Application Launcher (NAL)
Novell Client for Windows 2000/XP/2003 4.91 Support Pack 2

Situation

The detection method of NAL to identify remote access does not work efficiently in environments with multiple remote networks.

The cause of this behavior is that only one network can be configured in the NAL configuration.

A clear distinction between remote modes for Novell Application Launcher can not be made.

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, available at https://download.novell.com

The NAL command line switches has been extended by the following values:

/RemoteMode=1 (sets the remote access mode and turns off further methods of detecting the connection mode)
/RemoteMode=0 (sets the LAN connection mode and turns off further methods of detecting the connection mode)
Not specifying any value for the RemoteMode-parameter restores the normal behavior of NAL when detecting the connection mode.
