Novell eDirectory 8.7.3 for All Platforms
Novell iManager 2.5
Novell iManager 2.6
Situation
Attempting to set Universal Password for an object of class"person" or "inetorgperson".
Cannot select an object of class "person" or "inetorgperson" in the"Set Universal Password" Task in Novell iManager 25 or Novell iManager 26.
Universal Password diagnostic utility (diagpwd) does not find objects of object class "person" or "inetorgperson" although these objects do have a Universal Password set.

Resolution
It should be possible to set Universal Password for objects of all
object classes deriving from "ndsloginproperties" because the
Universal Password attributes (nspmpassword, nspmpasswordkey,
nspmdistributionpassword, nspmpasswordpolicydn) are defined in the"ndsloginproperties" object class.
Novell iManager password plug-ins and object selectors, however, cannot currently handle or browse for objects that do not belong to the "user" object class. As a workaround, you can type the entire distinguished name of the object concerned in the "Set Universal Password" task. The plug-in support for these object classes has been reported as a bug to Novell Engineering.
The support for non "user" object classes has also been requested as an enhancement for the "diagpwd" tool.
