Situation

User created shortcut of a NAL application placed on the Start Menu using drag and drop from Windows Explorer, disappears on restart.

Resolution

For ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management: Fixed in nalshell.dll dated 11 Jul 2006 or newer in ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management SP2 IR1 or newer found athttps://www.novell.com/support.

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, available at https://download.novell.com

Workaround: Configure the NAL application to display on the Start Menu, rather than creating a shortcut from the NAL application.
