Situation
High Utilization on the ZCM 10 server when Patch Management
Subscription Service initially starts.
Resolution
A tunable parameter exists to control the number of threads
that the ZCM 10 system uses to process content. To change the
parameter, do the following:
- Set the MaxConcurrentImports value in the file Program Files\Novell\ZENworks\conf\loader\ContentImport.xml to a value of 1 instead of the default value of 2. For example:
< Parameter Name="MaxConcurrentImports">1 - Restart the Novell ZENworks Loader Service.
Changing the parameter to 1 will slow down the processing of
all content, including Patch content.
