Situation
When executing a login script with
the line:
MAP ROOT G:=\:\%LOGIN_NAME
where is a clustered resource, the following
error is thrown:
LOGIN-LGNWNT32.DLL -430 the following drive mapping operation could not be set
Error code 8804

Resolution
At the NetWare server console, run
this command:
nss /visibilityrebuild=
nss /visibilityrebuild=
Additional Information
Troubleshooting:
Determined that it is possible to browse to the volume object (/) via Bindery, but not
through the eDirectory object. This was done by navigating through
Windows Explorer, drilling down through the tree object
(eDirectory) and the server object (bindery).
Rebuilt the cluster server object by executing the steps detailed in TID 10094555
Determined that this is a problem with the trustee rights on the volume, since it was possible to map the drive if the user had specifically been granted the supervisor right to the root of the volume.
