Situation
The problem
is that the collector code will crash (meaning no inventory
for the scan) if it finds a file without an extension due to a code
change made in patch 7 which addressed an Antispyware recognition
issue. However, it turns out that all of the MS SQL
Server fingerprints use a file without an extension to get the
edition of that product.
Resolution
Support does have
a Field Test File if necessary that can be used until the release
of Interim Release 8 for SP1
