Exported report misidentifies number range as a date

Novell ZENworks 7.5 Asset Management - ZAM7.5

Situation

When exporting a report to CSV, if there is a number range in the data, it may misidentify the number range as a date. For example, if the number range is 8-30, the report will change the value to August 31st.

Resolution

The formatting of a number like 8-30 is not exported from ZAM. It is the formatting of the application used to open the CSV. This was fixed on the ZAM side by changing the wording of a range. For example showing ranges as 8 to 30 instead of 8-30.

Fixed in ZENworks Asset Management 7.5 Interim Release 10 or newer

Interim Releases can be scheduled to run automatically or can be downloaded manually at https://download.novell.com. The Interim releases can be set up within the ZAM Manager for the Task server to check the site on a scheduled basis, and download and apply them automatically. Please refer to the Help Section details of how to set up automatic downloads if desired.

Each interim release is cumulative. If Interim Release 10 is not available due to a newer interim release being placed on the website, be assured that the code needed is in the later release.
