GroupWise Agent crashes on Linux

Situation

Symptom:
GroupWise Agent crashes on Linux
Post Office Agent stops responding
POA stops responding or crashes
MTA stops responding or crashes

Change:
Applied the latest support pack

Resolution

Corrective steps:
1. On the Shell Konsole, type "rcgrpwise stop" without quotes and press Enter
2. Launch ConsoleOne
3. Connect to the Domain Database
4. Highlight the Domain in question and use the drop-down list to select "Message Transfer Agents"
5. Right Click on the MTA object and select Properties
6. Go through all the Tabs and make a note of it (if we have modified the default settings). Make sure to note the settings in the GroupWise | Network Address tab
7. Exit out of the properties of MTA
8. Delete the MTA object
9. Right Click on the Domain and select New | MTA
10. Type MTA in the Agent Name
11. Select Define additional properties
12. Fill in all the fields with the ones noted in step 6. Make sure to fill in the GroupWise | Network Address tab
13. Follow the same steps of deletion and re-creation for the POA object for the Post Office in question
14. After deleting and recreating the POA object, change the Post Office Link Configuration back to TCP/IP as it may have switched to UNC after the deletion and recreation of POA object
15. Follow steps mentioned in TID 3005035
16. Browse to the Post Office Directory and delete *.dc files
17. Copy the Dictionary Files from the Software Distribution Directory\po\ to the Post Office Directory
18. On the Shell Konsole, type "rpm -e novell-groupwise-agents" without quotes and press Enter
19. Switch to the Software Distribution Directory and run"./install" to install and configure the agents again
20. Start the MTA and POA
