Upgraded to Access Manager 3 FCS
Novell Identity Server
Linux Access Gateway
Windows desktops running NetIdentity client
Situation
Configuring authentication classes and methods on the Novell
Identity Server. Looked at all the LDAP (form and basic, secure and
non secure) classes to locate an option that would allow
NetIdentity support (as offered with iChain 2.2 and 2.3) but no
option discovered.
Resolution
Support for NetIdentity as a means of authentication to a proxy
service has been removed from the shipping Access Manager code.
Background authentication to a proxy service using NetIdentity no
longer works.
Additional Information
The plan is to offer a kerberos method to provide single sign on
from Windows desktops. This will not happen until the next release
of Access Manager most likely.
