Situation

iChain has been configured to protect a SAP portal server (origin web server)
Several pages including GIF images are missing
The SAP portal server sends all GIF images in a compressed format bu using GZIP



Resolution

This issue has been addressed with iChain 2.3 Support Pack 5 Interim Release 3 2.3.408

Additional Information

The "content-length" header of the compressed GZIP GIF image sent by the SAP server runs a decompression before forwarding it but does not re-calaculate a new "content-length" header. Browser clients receive more data as announced by the content-length header and therefore can not render the image.
