Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Application Launcher (NAL)

Situation

Symptoms
Updates to applications are not being delivered to users
An application is delivered to a user. In this case there are 2 ZENworks application objects, a launcher application which is associated to the user and a dependent installer application. The applications are disconnectable so both are delivered and cached in the NALcahe folder.
When changes are made to the installation files, and the versions of the launcher and installation objects are increased, the updated installation files should be delivered to the user's workstation when NAL next refreshes.
The updated installation files are not being delivered to the user.

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
