Error: "CMC initialization of GroupWise domain database has failed (C059)"

Situation

Error: "CMC initialization of the GroupWise domain database failed (C059)"
WebAccess will not load

Resolution

1. Edit the details of the WebAccess object.
2. Select the Access Database Management tab. (With Consoleone it is under the Access Control tab)
3. Select Validate Now and then Recover Now.
4. Rename the GWCACHE.DB and restart WebAccess. This can be located in either sys:\system\cache, \wpgate\ or the root of the SYS volume.

Additional Information

The Access Control database was corrupt.
The WebPublisher cache database, GWCACHE.DB, was present although it was 0 bytes and could not be read. The GWINTER process would then attempt to create a new database and could not.
NOTE: This can happen even if the file size is not 0 bytes.
