Situation

TID 3564341 'How to enable ZAM Logging and Diagnostic Mode' states:

'
A Usage log can be created by creating the file C:\tsusagecfg.ini. In the file on the first line write [TSUsage] and underneath that on the second line write Debug=Yes. Save the file and restart the Collection Client. You will get a Usage Diagnostic Window with the usage logging.'

This works with ZAM 7.0 clients.

It does NOT work with ZAM 7.5 clients.
 
It does NOT work with ZCM 10.x clients.

Resolution

ZAM 7.5: In the registry, \HKLM\Software\Talley Systems Corp.\TSCensus\CollectionClient\    key,create a new DWORD value named"UMDiagnostic" and with a value of 1. Restart the Usage Monitor (it may takekilling it with Task Manager TSUsage32.exe ,then manually restarting it--C:\Program Files\Novell\ZENworks\Asset Management\Bin) and the diagnosticwindow will start.

ZCM 10.x:  ZCM 10.x: In the registry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\Zenworks\Usage\   key, create a new DWORD value named"UMDiagnostic" and with a value of 1.  Restart the Novell ZENworks Agent Service (\%ZENWORKS_HOME%\Bin\ZENworksWindowsService.exe), or start TSUsage32.exe if it is not already running, and the diagnosticwindow will start.
