Novell ZENworks 7 Server Management Support Pack 1 - ZSM7 SP1 Management and Monitoring Service
Situation
After updating to ZSM7 SP1 a new management database is being used. Checking sys:/system/zenworks.properties and sys:/system/mgmtdbs.ncf will show that the path has been changed from volume:\zenworks\database\pds to volume:\zenworks\database\pds\zenworks\database\pds. Also if a report is run, this new database will be used and old entries will not be seen.

WORKAROUNDS:
If no distributions have been performed after the update to ZSM 7 SP1, the following procedure can be used:
If no distributions have been performed after the update to ZSM 7 SP1, the following procedure can be used:
- stop dbsrvr8
- change sys:/system/zenworks.properties and sys:/system/mgmtdbs.ncf
- change the path from volume:\zenworks\database\pds\zenworks\database\pds to volume:\zenworks\database\pds
- remove from the file system the zenworks directory in volume:\zenworks\database\pds
- start the database management with sys:/system/mgmtdbs.ncf.

STEPS TO
REPRODUCE:
- Update ZSM7 with SP1 (be sure that management database has been installed)
- check sys:/system/zenworks.properties and sys:/system/mgmtdbs.ncf to see that the path has been changed from volume:\zenworks\database\pds to volume:\zenworks\database\pds\zenworks\database\pds
- check the filesystem under volume:\zenworks\database\pds and see a zfslog.db. But there is also a new zenworks directory.
- Open this directory to find again another database\pds with a new zfslog.db. This (new) database is being used
- If a report is run, this new database will be used and no old entries will be found.
