When shutting down eDirectory on Windows the service hangs in a stopping state.

Situation
 
When shutting down eDirectory on Windows there is a very small window where a client request comes in just as eDirectory is shutting down and it causes the service to hang in a stopping state and never completely shutdown. It is neccessary to kill the service or restart the Windows server to re-start eDirectory.
  
Resolution
 
This issue is resolved in eDirectory 8.7.3.9.
