Novell Client for Windows 2000/XP/2003 4.91 Support Pack 4
Situation
When trying to print to an NDPS printer that is running the
Novell Client for Windows 4.91 SP4, the end user will see the
following error:
NDPS Print Provider for Netware - Error:
An unexpected network error occurred
If you go to the Printers Window, right-click the NDPS printer, properties, and the port tab, you will see there is no port assignment for that printer.

Resolution
Cause: There is a bug in ndppnt.dll from 4.91 SP4.
Resolution: Resolved in an updated NDPPNT.DLL that is currently available in 491psp2_3_4_nwspool_2.zip. This patch can be downloaded from https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=Ui5qNQgEmHE~
This fix will be included in SP5 for the 4.91 client, which is not available as of May 2008.
Workaround: Copy the ndppnt.dll from 4.91 SP3 to the workstation's system32 directory, reboot the workstation, and re-install the NDPS printer.
