Situation

You get a "1628" error when installing the server or client of the ZENworks Endpoint Security Management 3.5 suite.

Resolution

  1. Install latest Microsoft Windows Installer
  2. Kill IDRIVER.exe in task manager if still running.
  3. Re-install
