Additional Information
For Steps on Installing GroupWise WebAccess see the
Installation guide in GroupWise documentation at the following URLhttps://www.novell.com/documentation/gw7/index.html?page=/documentation/gw7/gw7_install/data/a8sdpxb.html
Please take note of the recommendation for Installing the
Gateway on the same server as the GroupWise domain which owns the
Gateway.
There are two distinct components in GroupWise
Webaccess:
1. WebAccess Application (installed on the WebServer.)
2. WebAccess Agent. (installed on the owning
GroupWise Domain server)
The Application and Agent can both be installed on
the WebServer desired, although it is important to note:
When installing the Agent it is "always best to have the
owning GroupWise Domain which the Gateway is installed under reside
on the same server as the Gateway." The WebAccess Agent needs
direct access (mapped drive, UNC path, or file system mount) to the
domain directory so that it can write to its gateway directory
(domain\wpgate\webac70a). Installing the
Gateway under a domian which resides on the Same server
simplfies and improves this access.
Steps for creating a Secondary Domain Can be access in
GroupWise documentation at the following URL
https://www.novell.com/documentation/gw7/index.html?page=/documentation/gw7/gw7_admin/data/a7q4vpv.html
Create the secondary domain to run on the Windows 2003 server
prior to installing GroupWise Webaccess.
