ZENworks Management Daemon (zmd) fails to start after installation

Environment

Novell ZENworks Linux Management 7 Linux Management - ZLM7
Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9

Situation

Install ZMD agent manually with switch to register to a specific ZONE with a specific registration key.
Agent will not start

Deleted the /var/run/zmd.pid yet still not sucessful

Resolution

After Launching zmd from /opt/novell/zenworks/sbin/zmd -n to debug the ZMD agent the following was found:
DEBUG: [04/18/2006 09:28:35] ServiceManager  Mounting Initial Services
DEBUG: [04/18/2006 09:28:35] ServiceManager  Adding service (keeping if fail): \ https://192.168.97.238
ZMD: Unhandled Exception: System.UriFormatException: URI scheme must start with a letter.

Checking the /etc/opt/novell/zenworks/zmd/initial-service shows:
\ https://192.168.97.238

Editing the file to remove the leading "\" and restarting ZMD corrected the problem
