Resolution
If the installation source has any service packs integrated into
it, make sure you're using the boot CD corresponding to the service
pack of the install source.
If you are using a 3rd party driver, make sure the driver is intended to work with the specific kernel version you are using. A table of support packs and kernel versions is available at Table of Kernel versions for SLES 8, SLES9, and OES
