80004005 Unknown Error Installing GMS

Novell GroupWise Mobile Suite (GMS)

Situation

Error during the Environment Analyzer portion of the install when specifying the GroupWise server and user credentials.
Error: "Unable to connect to GroupWise server http://10.10.10.1:7191/soap; [0x80004005] Unknown Error
Same error is received when adding a new authentication source in the Intellisync Admin Console

Resolution

The password of the user that is specified during the install has an ampersand (&) in it.  Change the password for the user or specify a different account.  Ampersands will work during normal operation, it is only in the authentication server setup that the problem occurs.
