Situation
GroupWise 7 or 7 sp1 is not able to change the print font when printing Plain Text messages.
Right Click a plain text message in your Inbox | Select View | Right Click the Message body | Print Preview Options | Change the Default Font | Right Click the Message Body | Print
Prints the default font and not the font you just selected.
Same problem when opening a Plain Text Message | Right click the msg body | Font | Font | Change the Font | Right Click the msg body | Print - still prints the default font.
Resolution
A fix is now available in the Groupwise 7.0.2 Hot Patch, or newer, Windows client.
Additional Information
Novell added a Font Size dialog to the GroupWise Print menu with GW 7.0.2. (File | Print or ctrl-p etc.) We will Not provide the ability to change the Font. The Font is embedded in the RTF message. The RTF default font is provided by Windows. We will use the Font already in the Message. When printing a Plain text msg from GW the user will have the choice of Normal, Bigger, Biggest. Normal will print the Font as it came in - the default is 10pt. Bigger will be 2x the size and Biggest will be 3x.
Because RTF allows fonts in the message it's possible for the msg body to contain fairly large font sizes. In order to prevent HUGE Fonts from printing, such as only one or two characters per page we've set a Maximum font size of 50 pts for printing.
