recognized regardless of how it is connected to the system
(internal component, USB, etc):

Hard disk drives, floppy disk drives, CD-ROM drives
Keyboard
Memory
Microprocessor
Modem
Monitor
Mouse
Network interface cards
Other cards (ie, disk controllers, tape backups)
Parallel and Serail ports
Printers
Removable media drives (ie, ZIP, DVD-ROM)
SCSI adapters
Sound card
System (ie, computer brand name)
