Situation

Variables do not get resolved in schedule load/unload policy in Novell ZENworks Server Management

Resolution

For ZSM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Server Management, available at Novell Downloads

For ZSM6.5: Fixed in zen65sp2.exe or later found at Novell Downloads

Additional Information

STEPS TO DUPLICATE:
1. Create a distributed server policy package.
2. Add a schedule load/unload policy to the package
3. Add "Load NLM" component to the policy
nlm component is defined as:
Filename: trustee.nlm
Paramater: /D /F /ETI SAVE ALL SYS:\%SERVER_NAME%.txt
4. Create a distribution to push policies down to a netware server.

RESULT:
After policy is enforced on the subscriber server, for example, if the server_name is: myNW6server, then myNW6server.txt file will be created under sys: vol containing the results from executing trustee.nlm instead %SERVER_NAME%.txt file is created.
