Novell ZENworks Server Management 7 - ZSM7 Tiered Electronic Distribution (TED)
Situation
The Bindery Context on the server gets set during a ZENworks Server Management Distribution and doesn't get reset to what it was.
When a file distribution, that contains a whole folder it is distributing, it resets the bindery context on that subscriber server.
Resolution
For ZSM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Server Management, available at Novell Downloads
For ZSM6.5 SP2: fixed in ZENworks 6.5 Server Management SP2 IR1a or newer found at Novell DownloadsAdditional Information
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Set up a file distribution that sends a whole directory
2. When it gets to the subscriber, watch the logger screen and there is an error about the bindery context and an invalid parition.
3. Type in config to see that bindery context has changed.
