A template is used by the eDirectory driver to create the users. In the template the Home Directory is specified and it is pointing to the root directory of the volume.
Resolution
The Home directory path is specified in ConsoleOne with two fields:
the Volume and the Path. In the Path the eDirectory-to-eDirectory
driver expects no trailing slash (/) character. If a directory is
specified on the volume as a home directory no ending slash is
added by ConsoleOne, however if the Path is pointing to the root of
the volume a slash is added to the Path field. The IDM engine adds
an additional backslash to the path which will make different
applications incapable of finding the correct path.
The slash (/) needs to be changed manually to a backslash (\) character in the Path part of the Home Directory attribute on the Template with ConsoleOne.
